Day 1 Prayer Points – December 2023 Fasting & Prayer

It’s a relatable concern to wonder about the consequences of not praying. We often beat ourselves up over this “sin” and assume God must be angry with us.

It is true that God gets angry. However, when we ask if God is mad at us, Psalm 145:8 says otherwise.

“𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣; 𝙨𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮”

God won’t be throwing a tantrum because you missed a prayer session. He will miss your company, though, as prayer is our way of communicating with Him.

Has your prayer life been on snooze mode?

1. THANKSGIVING: (Psalms 7:17. Psalms 107:1-2)

  • Let us begin to worship our great and mighty God. Call Him by His names. Sing songs of worship and adoration to Him. Tell Him how much you love Him.
  • In this blessed month of good tidings let us lift up our voice in thanksgiving to the Lord of Lords. Thank Him for the gift of life, for bringing us to the last month of the year. Thank Him for all His benefits.
  • Count your blessings and name them one by one. Begin to give thanks to God.

2. MERCY: (Psalms 124. 1-8, Lamentations 3:22-23)

  • Thank God for His great mercy that brought you and your loved once to the last month of the year and the month of good tidings. Pray that by His mercy any power working against your joy be terminated in Jesus’ name, Amen.
  • Pray that by the mercies of God, you will see the end of the year, this year will not see your end in Jesus’ name, Amen.

3. PROTECTION / PRESERVATION: (Proverbs 18:10. Psalms 91:1-2)

  • Faithful God, in this month of good tidings and beyond, protect me and my loved once from blood sucking demons, arrows of death or any form of calamity in the name of Jesus.
  • Oh Lord, in this month of good tidings and beyond, I decree that I and my loved ones are daily recipients of your protection. Hide us in your secret place where there is protection and safety in Jesus mighty name Amen.

4. HEALING AND HEALTH: (3 John 1:2, Jeremiah 17:14)

  • Decree over your life. By the blood of Jesus in this month of good tidings and beyond I am healed from all my wound, pains, sorrow and shame in the name of Jesus.
  • Lord Jesus, I decree and declare that by your love and mercy I am renewed, my health is restored and I shall begin to experience wholeness in my body, soul and spirit in Jesus’ name.

5. DIVINE PROVISIONS: (Philippians 4:19. Psalms 23: 1-3)

  • Ask the Lord to supply all your household needs in this season of good tidings and beyond.
  • Ask God to surprise you and your household with great blessings and a wonderful Christmas gift in Jesus name Amen.

6. FAMILY: (Psalms 121:8)

  • Oh Lord, in this season of good tidings, bring together and keep my family in perfect unity, love and mutual support in Jesus’ name. Instill in each member of my family, the spirit of understanding and affection in Jesus’ name.
  • Oh Lord, in this season of good tidings may the protection of God rest over the lives of every member of my family and the family of RoSGMI.
